‘Wonder Woman 2’ has an official release date

The movie will come to us December 13, 2019.

Warner Bros. has given the much anticipated Wonder Woman 2 an official release date. The sequel to the smash-hit Wonder Woman will hit theaters December 13, 2019, the studio confirmed Tuesday evening. With a release date over two years out, the movie will join the DC Cinematic Universe after Justice League and Aquaman.

Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. It is currently unknown who will be directing the film, though Patty Jenkins, who directed the original, has expressed interest.

The original Wonder Woman was something of a surprise hit to the studio, breaking box office records on its way to becoming the biggest hit of the summer. It is also seen as a hopeful turning point for the maligned DC movie universe, and as long as Justice League hits the mark as well, expectations for the film should be very high.
