Paul Heyman is pushing for Samoa Joe to win the Universal Championship at Summerslam

Paul Heyman has a suggestion backstage for the outcome of the fatal four way match at Summerslam: Samoa Joe should win it.

According to Sports Illustrated‘s Justin Barrasso, Paul Heyman has a suggestion backstage for the outcome of the fatal four way match at Summerslam for his client’s Universal Championship: Samoa Joe should win it.

Many believe Samoa Joe’s first bout against the Beast Incarnate at Great Balls of Fire was originally supposed to be a one-off, but went so well that WWE brass is taking another look at the Samoan Submission Machine. WWE also added an interesting wrinkle to the storyline this week on Raw: If Brock Lesnar loses the Universal Championship at Summerslam, he and Heyman have vowed to leave the company. This helps fuel the rumors that Brock Lesnar may be preparing for another return to the octagon to fight Jon “Bones” Jones.

SI also points out that though it may make storyline sense for Lesnar to “leave” WWE after Summerslam to focus on his UFC fight, Lesnar is under contract with WWE through Wrestlemania 34, and is expected to fulfill his obligations with the company whether or not he does fight again in UFC.
