Aside from the love triangles and infighting between the team they have to fight off some crab/fish magic villains from Atlantis. No big deal.

Why does this matter?
Dan Abnett knows how to write team books, giving every character something to do and say with solid interactions. Brett Booth knows how to draw a kinetically exciting series. Together they make for a great team book.

Pizza Fish!
I may not have noticed this if it weren’t in Monthly POP back in April, but Pizza Fish makes a return to this series! This time it’s a pizza joint, but we know it was also a movie a few months ago. Anyway, it’s a fun little detail we picked up on. Speaking of Pizza Fish, Abnett and Booth–along with inker Norm Rapmund and colorist Andrew Dalhouse–deliver an exciting issue that weaves in relationship issues very well. Using a narrative that intercuts the now and the then, the story moves at a good clip and reveals some major things hinted at in the last few issues.
The strongest element, however, is the relationship stuff, with characters’ jealousy getting the better of them. On top of all that, there’s a spy amongst the characters who Abnett teases via a program Nightwing is running to figure out who the culprit is. Add in Raven intermingling with a villain used a few issues ago and the plot certainly thickens. I dare anyone to guess what is revealed on the last page though!
The art team does a good job with Booth’s customary slanted panels spilling down the page throughout the book. Flash is once again a huge highlight with the electricity flowing off him looking cool. Given the sea theme of the villains, one might expect a chuckle, but Booth renders them in a serious fashion that works. Donna Troy is particularly awesome in one scene where she literally pulls two heroes off each other and Booth draws her in a strong way.
Fashion is not Nightwing’s strong suit.

It can’t be perfect can it?
If relationship drama is not your thing you probably won’t love this issue. There’s a lot of postulating that goes nowhere, and given the history these characters have you’d think they’d be better at working it out.
Is it good?
The melodrama thickens as jealousy gets in the way of heroics in a sharp issue.
