Bobby Roode is officially a member of Smackdown Live

Smackdown just got glorious.

Three nights after losing the NXT Championship to Drew McIntyre at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, Bobby Roode has officially joined the Smackdown Live roster. Roode interrupted Aiden English’s singing to a hugely positive response from the crowd, and then proceeded to defeat English in short order with a Glorious DDT. Roode was then interviewed by Renee Young, congratulating Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon for “breaking the bank” signing the self-proclaimed hottest free agent in sports entertainment.

The Glorious One has been rumored to be receiving a large push upon arrival to the main roster, and may be treated as one of the top 5 wrestlers on the show.

Roode held the NXT Championship for 203 days, taking it from Shinsuke Nakamura on a December 2016 episode of NXT. He is also a former two time TNA World Champion.
