A few different comics were talked about at Marvel’s “Marvel Legacy: Next Big Thing” panel at New York Comic Con: several writers and artists were panelists, detailing everything from The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl to The Punisher. Amidst the exclusive art reveals and new story details, though, VP and Executive Editor Nick Lowe announced a new series: Weapon H.
A few months ago, Marvel began a crossover event between Weapon X and Totally Awesome Hulk dubbed “Weapons of Mutant Destruction. The idea is pretty simple: Hulk and Logan’s DNA were combined to create a Hulk with claws.
“It is the most eight-year-old idea I’ve ever heard, and I love it,” Lowe joked. Indeed, the premise is a little thin, but what’s not to love about the thought of the Incredible Hulk with adamantium claws?
“Weapons of Mutant Destruction” was a throwback to ’90s comics, a welcome source of fun and a reprieve from the world-altering, super serious drama of Marvel’s main events like Secret Empire; Weapon H looks to provide more of that fun.
Weapon H starts in March 2018.
