Blizzard drops the beat on Lúcio’s new legendary skin

Another legendary item for the upcoming Overwatch cosmetic patch is revealed.

We’re only three short days away from the next Overwatch update that includes over 100 new cosmetic items. Blizzard is dropping a big pile of sprays, emotes, player icons and best of all, new skins.

As expected, another new item was revealed today and it’s a legendary skin for our favorite Brazilian DJ. Capoeira Lúcio is the new skin’s name and it will be available on January 23rd. The official Overwatch Twitter account gave us a look:

Developed in Brazil at the beginning of the 16th century, capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music. This unique form of martial arts is known for its quick, complex and powerful maneuvers that leverage a wide variety of kicks and spins.

In his newest skin, Lúcio has lost his trademark goggles and instead sports a large bandana around his head and dreadlocks. The DJ’s forearms are wrapped, he’s lost his shirt, sports a rad new tattoo and has replaced his shirt with some sort of strapped harness.

This is the second Overwatch legendary skin to be revealed that celebrates a character’s heritage, following Asp-Pharah from yesterday. I hope this is a trend we can expect to see from Blizzard moving forward.

All the new items will be available in standard Loot Boxes. Be sure to check back with us for more updates on Overwatch.
