The site claims they received a number of internal development notes back in August of 2017, and held them as unsubstantiated until they received promotional information as verification. You can read the full details in their comprehensive write-up, but lets focus on the one bit of news that made my day – Battle Royal mode.
Rockstar can see the writing on the wall, with the runaway success of PUBG and Fortnite, so if I get to sneak around a scrubgrass choked piece of hardpan, wearing only cowboy boots and my trusty spurs? Count me in.
