Walmart Exclusive: Marvel Legends Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet revealed

Last week I reported the first wave of the Marvel Legends Avengers: Infinity War action figures were starting to pop up on shelves. Granted this was in Australia, but they are coming! Today the first pictures of the Walmart exclusive Marvel Legends Thanos were released. Thanos was first mentioned at SDCC 2017 and is the comic book version of the Mad Titan. The figure is set to be released later this year.

Check him out!

This is the first time that Thanos will be released as a single figure. He was the Build-A-Figure in the 2015 Avengers: Age of Ultron series and he is also the Build-A-Figure for the 2018 Avengers: Infinity War. The Infinity War BAF is based on the movie and I must admit, I dig the looks of Josh Brolin’s likeness for the 2018 BAF.

The Walmart exclusive looks good. The figure includes a couple of heads. One is flashing a menacing smile, while the other sculpt looks grim. He also comes with the Infinity Gauntlet! You know what this means? It means that King Cobra can stay on the shelf! Sorry, King, but that was your only selling point for me. Now I get to save $20.00. There is also an interchangeable hand to replace the gauntlet. The bad side is that it pretty much looks like a repaint of the 2015 character. But for the ones that didn’t build Thanos back then, like me, this really shouldn’t be a deciding factor on whether to make the purchase.

There isn’t any word on a release date yet, but when I start seeing them pop up in stores, I will update the post here. Happy hunting! I know it will be a big hunt for me; Walmart exclusives are hard to come by in my area.
