Ryan Reynolds wishes ‘Deadpool 2’ co-star Josh Brolin/Cable a happy birthday

Happy 50th birthday, Josh Brolin!

Deadpool is no stranger to Norman Rockwell parodies; his Thanksgiving homage to “Freedom from Want” gets some company in the form of this funny birthday wish to Deadpool 2 co-star Josh Brolin, this one a parody of Rockwell’s “Triple Self-Portrait.”

Happy Birthday, Bright Eye. You don’t taste a day over 40.

That’s right, in case you forgot Brolin started his career as Brand Walsh from ’80s classic The Goonies, who Deadpool paints with surprising accuracy here. Brolin, who will play time-traveling super-soldier Cable celebrates his 50th birthday today, although according to Deadpool, he doesn’t “taste a day over 40.”

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 18th, 2018.
