Red Goblin reveals new Symbiote powers in Amazing Spider-Man #798

Witness our very first look at Red Goblin’s power set.

SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.

We have been dying to see the combination of Carnage and Green Goblin since January and today we finally get to see the character in action. Today, Marvel Comics released Amazing Spider-Man #798, which finally shows off the character and his new powers. We all knew Carnage had abilities Venom didn’t but Green Goblin has added a new feature:

Bombs that can talk. Now that’s new. Not only that, but the design of the character has some dinosaur-like vibes:

That can also breathe fire. While the design is rather cool the biggest takeaway as far as threat level is the reminder that Symbiotes can sneak up on Spider-Man without activating his spider-sense. Maybe that makes the talking bombs a plus since they’ll snarkily tip Peter Parker off when they’re heading towards his head.

You can purchase Amazing Spider-Man #798 in stores today.
