Ryan Reynolds confirms T.J. Miller’s Weasel will not be in X-Force

Could Deadpool 2 be T.J. Miller’s last appearance as Weasel?

T.J. Miller, who plays Deadpool’s weapons dealer/bartender acquaintance in the first two films, will not be returning for the next planned installment in the series, X-Force; the latter film’s roster currently includes Cable (Josh Brolin), Domino (Zazie Beetz) and of course, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds).

Whether or not Miller’s recent legal issues, including a late 2017 sexual misconduct allegation and an April, 2018 Amtrak bomb threat incident, were the catalyst for this decision is unclear, as Reynolds declined to comment on his co-star’s troubles (besides the confirmation that Miller won’t be appearing in X-Force) in his recent interview with the New York Times.

Miller can be seen as Weasel during some funny interview scenes in the Deadpool 2 trailers and will join returning characters Colossus ((Stefan Kapicic), Deadpool’s girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool’s roommate Blind Al (Leslie Uggams), Dopinder (Karan Soni) as well as new characters like the aforementioned Cable, Domino and Bedlam (Terry Crews). Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 17th.

Did T.J. Miller’s recent legal troubles play a role in his exclusion from the X-Force film? Sound off in the comments.
