May 9, 2018’s 5 in 5: The five comic books you should buy this week

Deadpool mania is running wild!

Welcome to another edition of 5 in 5, where we break down the five comic books that should definitely be on your pull list for New Comic Book Day this Wednesday. There are a ton of good comics coming out this week, so it was hard to whittle the list down to just five, but there were a few that stood tall over the rest.

Continuing the theme of milestones is Despicable Deadpool #300, ending the current fantastic run on the Merc With a Mouth. This book combined with You Are Deadpool #2 is the perfect way to get yourself stoked for the upcoming movie Deadpool 2.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly comics podcast!

Meanwhile on the DC side we have a huge #1 coming out of Dark Nights: Metal called Justice League: No Justice #1. And speaking of #1s, Venom #1 is finally out this week.

Rounding out the list this week is Image comics’ Port of Earth #5, an excellent sci-fi series that is finally back this week.
