SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.
Amazing Spider-Man #800 is huge in scope with a giant-sized issue containing a massive climactic battle between Red Goblin and Spider-Man. With stakes so high you know there will be casualties and in fact, there is a big one. Later in the issue, Flash Thompson shows up as Anti-Venom to help Spider-Man fight off the Red Goblin.
Spider-Man, now donning Venom’s Symbiote, goes into full rage mode. Sadly, however, the damage has been done.
Those are fine final words and they’re as heroic as they come. Were you a Flash Thompson fan and if so do you think he’s really dead? Time will tell — comic books never seem to let anyone stay dead, but this is a huge blow to Peter’s world.
