Hyped a few years prior to the big reveal, Mark Millar has let the world know a new comic book series is on the way from Netflix called Prodigy. As he puts it on Twitter the comic is, “The best character I’ve ever created and I CANNOT WAIT for you to see it!”
The Hollywood Reporter had the full scoop revealing the second comic series Netflix is publishing with Millar will be about a man named Edison Crane, who is the world’s smartest man who isn’t happy with running the world’s most successful business. He’s a Batman type not only winning the Nobel-Prize, but also a genius composer, an Olympic-level athlete and an expert in the occult. This will be the second magic related comic series Netflix is publishing with Millar (the first being Magic Order). Crane is an adventurer and the series will mark Millar’s self-professed “smartest thing” he’s ever written.
Artist Rafael Albuquerque will be drawing the new series and the variant cover below is drawn by Ozgur Yildirim.
Prodigy will be available in comic book stores and online on Dec. 5, 2018.
