Instant classics like Mighty Joe Young and Clash of the Titans are just two of the films celebrated in this book. Peter Jackson put it best when he said, “Without Ray Harryhausen, there would likely have been no ‘Star Wars’ – George Lucas “My teenage years were fuelled by a desire to do exactly what Ray Harryhausen was doing.”

The book is written by Richard Holliss who has worked on documentaries on animation, science fiction, and film comedy for BBC Network Radio. Holliss has worked closely with the Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation to collect together a lavish array of full-colour posters and promotional material celebrating this cinema visionary’s unique style.

The book retails for $39.95 (but can be found for even cheaper on Amazon) and was released September 4th.
