Captain Marvel Hot Take *please don’t comment spoilers I saw Captain Marvel last night and I have a few things to say about it 1. I know it’s been a controversial build up but I really enjoyed it. Not in like a “this is the best movie ever” kind of way, but it was a good watch. Watching Brie punch the absolute SHIT out of people for 2 hours was strangely enjoyable. 2. I think it’s fine to not like the movie once you’ve seen it, believe me, I have my complaints. However, if you haven’t seen it and you’re talking shit about how bad it is I think we both know that’s immature and bad faith criticism. Tbh If you are capable of leaving your politics/opinions of Brie Larson at the door I think you’ll like it too. Like you might not love it but it’s very competently made and has some good organically funny moments. Very standard marvel fare. 3. In other words let me put it this way, I think you’re going to like this movie as much as you let yourself like it. If you go in thinking it’s going to be the best movie ever I think you’ll be disappointed. I don’t think it’s trying to be that. If you go in deciding you already hate it then congrats, you’re also going to hate it and you wasted your money. Marvel doesn’t give a shit whether or not you ‘hate watched’ their movie. You paid them the exact same amount regardless so stew on that one for a bit. TLDR: I saw it, I like it, if you give it a chance I think you will too. Yeet. #captainmarvel #marvel #cosplay
