It has not always been in the most flattering light, but for years, Superman has been referred to as the Big Blue Boy Scout. The strong moral code of DC’s most famous hero is one his most endearing and disliked qualities. But what if the Last Son of Krypton had a different moral compass?
BrightBurn is the latest movie from the mind of James Gunn. Produced by the director of the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies and written by brothers Mark and Brian Gunn, the film has a familiar premise.
An alien baby boy crashes to earth and is found by a couple. The two raise the infant as their own. It may sound like another origin of Superman movie, but BrightBurn looks to be something far more sinister.
The first trailer for the superhero horror movie debuted today and it does not look like it is about a boy scout.
BrightBurn releases nationwide on May 24, 2019.
