Roman Reigns announces his leukemia is in remission, will return to the ring

The Big Dog is back!

Former Universal Champion Roman Reigns opened Raw this week to announce to the world that his leukemia has went into remission, and in his own words, “The Big Dog is back.”

Reigns announced in October that he has been battling leukemia for 11 years, and that it was back. He stepped away from the ring and was forced to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship. Tonight, just four months later, he has recovered and is ready to return to WWE on a regular basis.

The update was given in front of an extremely supportive crowd who showed their appreciation for Joe A’noai the man, despite having a contentious relationship with Roman Reigns the character in the past.

After the announcement, Reigns and Shield brother Seth Rollins shared a hug atop the entrance ramp.

Welcome back to your yard, Roman Reigns!
