WonderCon 2019: First Look at Interior Art for Batman: The Last Knight on Earth

DC shared never before seen images from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s highly anticipated Batman project at WonderCon 2019.

Aside from unveiling a new Detective Comics logo, DC Comics showed off exclusive first looks at interior pages for Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s Batman: The Last Knight on Earth at WonderCon’s ” DC Celebrates 80 Years of Batman” panel.

Described as “the ultimate endgame” to Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s critically acclaimed Batman stories, which includes the New 52 relaunch and Metal, Batman: The Last Knight on Earth puts Bruce Wayne in his most challenging scenario yet, as he awakens in a barren world carrying the Joker’s head in a jar.

Speaking on the AiPT! Comics Podcast recently, Scott Snyder praised Grant Morrison as a driving force behind the new series. “Grant Morrison is the one that made me do it. He told me when I was really freaking out when I had Bruce Wayne for the first time”, Snyder said, “He was like, listen, what you need to do is give your version of birth and a death and that’s it. Make him yours.”

Batman: The Last Knight on Earth will be available on May 29 through DC’s Black Label. For more WonderCOn 2019 coverage, stay on AiPTComics.com and be sure to follow us on Twitter.
