Alexa Bliss has been removed from the Money in the Bank ladder match

A ‘suitable replacement’ will be announced soon.

Alexa Bliss has not been medically cleared to compete at Money in the Bank in the women’s briefcase ladder match, WWE announced today. They noted that “a suitable replacement” will be announced to take her place.

Alexa Bliss’s in-ring return has been plagued by false starts and injuries. The 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match in January was her first match back since last September, and since then she’s only competed twice, in quick matches on Raw. However, WWE apparently remains high on her, as she is featured prominently despite not being able to compete. She was the host of WrestleMania this year, and appears on Raw nearly weekly with her “A Moment of Bliss” segments.

WWE has been slightly secretive of what exactly is afflicting Alexa, but whatever is, we wish her a speedy recovery.
