Writers Scott Snyder and Charles Soule have announced that they will reveal the title of their upcoming creator-owned project from Image Comics in two weeks at San Diego Comic Con.
The pair have been teasing a creator-owned project for months now, which started with both of them tweeting about it on January 1, 2019.
Over the last week anticipation among fans for the reveal has been building as both writers once again took to Twitter to tease fans with tweets promising “big creator owned news.” Until finally it was confirmed on Wednesday that the news would be coming the following day.
Snyder and Soule revealed yesterday that they will be co-writing a story about a United States that has completely sealed itself off from the rest of the world, only to mysteriously open its gates 30 years later. They also revealed the full creative team for the book, and its absolutely loaded: Giuseppe Camuncoli will illustrate, with Matt Wilson on colors, Will Dennis editing, Daniele Orlandini covering inks, and Crank! providing the letters.
Normally you don’t see big news being released on a holiday, especially the 4th of July, but in this case it feels appropriate. Check out the image shared by Snyder and Soule below.
