Watch: Trailer for ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood’

The trailer for ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood’ is here and it’s wonderful.

Tom Hanks stars as everyone’s favorite cardigan-clad neighbor Fred Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Sony released the trailer this morning and it shows a singing Hanks inviting audiences into his home.

Matthew Rhys plays Tom Junod, a real life journalist who is writing a profile on Mr. Rogers. Directed by Marielle Heller, the trailer features many heartwarming moments as it gives glimpses into Fred Rogers’ life, but also his impact on his audience.

Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood aired on PBS from 1968 to 2001. The show was aimed towards children and tackled a variety of topics. Mr. Rogers endeared himself to the public by being himself in front of the camera.

Tom Hanks has had a prolific film career playing unforgettable characters in huge films like Forrest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, the Toy Story series. Hanks has transformed into Fred Rogers, undoubtedly leaving another mark in cinematic history.

Sony’s A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood hits theaters this November.
