You have probably seen the original from 1974 starring Olivia Hussey and Margot Kidder. Or maybe your first viewing was the 2006 version starring Michelle Trachtenberg, Lacey Chabert, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead? Need an updated version? Well, get ready because the new trailer for Black Christmas has arrived.
Directed by Sophia Takal, the new Black Christmas has everything a classic slasher needs. Sorority sisters, girls walking home alone at night, and a masked slasher bent on killing them. Pretty much hits the slasher checklist, which is not bad. This Black Christmas remake follows the same plot as the previous two where a killer hunts down college students during Christmas break.
The trailer features Imogen Poots and Aleyse Shannon ready to take on the killer and what appears to be an evil fraternity. The trailer also reveals a sinister Carrie Elwes.
Blumhouse Pictures in collaboration with Universal Pictures are scheduled to release Black Christmas this December on Friday the 13th.
