One of the best rogues galleries in comics is definitely Batman’s, so it’s no surprise there have been so many different incarnations through animation, games, TV and even other mediums. It only makes sense when we hear different actors wanting to play one of the Dark Knight’s foes. Add Eddie Redmayne to the list, who recently expressed interest in playing The Riddler.

Speaking to IMDb yesterday, the Fantastic Beasts star said “I’d love to play the Riddler. Just putting that out there.”

There’s a possibility he could get his wish, with Matt Reeves’ The Batman releasing June 25th, 2021, though that films’ villains have seemingly been confirmed.

Redmayne’s The Aeronauts releases December 6th, 2019.
