Samsung has unveiled the next chapter of its partnership with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing a new cinematic promotional spot that stars Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds while teasing scenes from the highly anticipated film.
The new video follows Spider-Man as he races across the city, fighting crime while putting Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices through the demands of superhero life. Along the way, Ned uses the recently introduced Spidey Tracker to follow his best friend, with plenty of hidden Easter eggs for longtime Spider-Man fans to discover.
Directed by Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker and Marvel production designer Kasra Farahani, the short blends original footage with scenes from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving fans another look at the movie ahead of its theatrical debut on July 31.
The teaser also introduces new technology built by the Fabricator, hinting at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy devices before their official reveal during Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on July 22.
According to Keena Grigsby, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics America, the partnership was designed to naturally fit within Spider-Man’s world.
“Spider-Man has always represented ingenuity, resilience, and seeing possibilities where others don’t,” Grigsby said. “This collaboration gave us the opportunity to create an exclusive story for fans that brings Galaxy foldables naturally into Spider-Man’s world while complementing the excitement surrounding the upcoming film.”

The campaign also marks a bigger role for Jacob Batalon, who officially joins #TeamGalaxy as Samsung’s newest brand ambassador after previously helping launch the interactive Spidey Tracker experience earlier this summer.
“The Galaxy Z Fold is a perfect match for Ned and the creation of the Spidey Tracker,” Batalon said. “Getting to use the Fold7 and Galaxy Watch on set was a cool experience, and I’m excited to officially join Team Galaxy.”

Samsung says today’s release is only the beginning, with more details about the collaboration expected during Galaxy Unpacked later this month as excitement builds toward Spider-Man: Brand New Day arriving exclusively in theaters on July 31.
