Brock Lesnar has returned to WWE, and he has his sights set on a world title — but this time, it’s Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship.

Lesnar, flanked by his advocate Paul Heyman, came to the ring following the New Day’s victory in a six man tag team match against The Revival and Randy Orton. Heyman explained that Lesnar would be challenging for Kofi’s WWE Championship on Friday Night SmackDown‘s premiere on Fox on October 4th. Kofi accepted, and was immediately given an F-5 by Lesnar.
“The Beast Incarnate” hasn’t been seen on WWE television since losing the Universal Champion to Seth Rollins back at SummerSlam. While Raw has long been Brock’s home, with the upcoming draft and the blue brand’s move to network television on Fox next month, it makes sense for Lesnar to defect to SmackDown.
