Extended look at Nickelodeon’s Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Nickelodeon’s reveals first look at new trailer at New York Comic Con 2019.

Nickelodeon celebrated the return of a new Midnight Society in its famous young adult ’90s horror series, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, at New York Comic Con 2019. During a panel Friday afternoon fans got to enjoy stars from the show discussing the iconic horror series alongside executive producer Matt Kaplan and writer/executive producer Ben David Grabinski.

The show has been reimagined for a new generation, which you can see in the brand new extended trailer, available below.

 

The panel featured stars Lyliana Wray (Top Gun: Maverick), Sam Ashe Arnold (Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever.), Miya Cech (Rim of the World), Jeremy Ray Taylor (IT: Chapter Two) and Rafael Casal (Blindspotting). These are the newest members of the Midnight Society who will be featured in an upcoming three-part limited series event across three hour-long episodes in the tale of the Carnival of Doom.

Part one of Are You Afraid of the Dark? will debut on Friday, Oct. 11, at 7:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon, with parts two and three to follow Oct. 18, and Oct. 25, respectively.

Created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, the original Are You Afraid of the Dark? series ran for seven seasons with 91 episodes from 1990-1996 and later for a final season in 1999-2000. The show was a critical and commercial success, garnering numerous awards.
