Watch: The Witcher (Main Trailer) on Netflix

Check out the first main trailer for Netflix’s The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill.

The recently released main trailer for Netflix’s The Witcher is giving the fans what they want — Henry Cavill not only flexes his impressive sword skils as main character Geralt of Rivia but some of his other, ahem, assets as well. Fans of the video game series who were worried the series might favor the book series much more than the former will be happy to know this trailer involves an iconic bathtub scene.

The Witcher series is is based on the best-selling fantasy novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski and takes place 20 years before the popular video game series. It first began as a series of short stories published in Polish, which have since been translated to numerous languages, including English. The latest novel Season of Storms, was released in the US in March of 2018.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold.

Cavill isn’t the only character who looks impressive in the trailer; we’re now sold on Anya Chalotra as Yennefer as well. What did you think of the first main trailer for The Witcher? Let us know in the comments.

“You can’t outrun destiny just because you’re terrified of it. Henry Cavill is Geralt of Rivia. The Witcher arrives December 20.”
