Mauro Ranallo reportedly not calling NXT this week

Concern is growing for the voice of NXT.

Reportedly, Mauro Ranallo will not be returning to NXT this week to call matches on commentary and there is no indication of when he will be. Rumors surfaced after Mauro called NXT: War Games on Saturday but did not return for Survivor Series on Sunday. While Michael Cole states it is due to Mauro blowing out his voice from the previous night, speculation indicates it relates to Corey Graves Twitter comments during the NXT show.

While not an overly harsh tweet, Mauro Ranallo is known to struggle with bipolar disorder and has left commentary in the past due to a conflict with John Layfield (JBL). This comes at an interesting time where multiple WWE talent have taken to Twitter to vent frustration and Triple H has specifically asked them to come to management instead of social media. Graves did give an apology on this week’s episode of his After the Bell podcast, but has not removed the tweet.
