Microsoft announces the Xbox Series X

Get your first look at the successor to the Xbox One.

Microsoft’s next-generation gaming console is the Xbox Series X, as announced on stage at the Game Awards tonight. Microsoft has released a trailer for the console, which shows off some of the console’s graphical capabilities and provides a closer look at the design of the console itself.

The console boasts a unique industrial design, having more in common with a router or PC tower than a traditional video game console.

The Series X will replace the Xbox One, Microsoft’s current generation console that hit store shelves in 2013.

The Xbox Series X will be released in holiday season 2020.
