EXCLUSIVE Marvel First Look: Web of Venom: Wraith one-shot

Donny Cates is exploring “a sinister and silent gunslinger in space with a secret past!”

The Web of Venom line of comics is getting a new one-shot in April with Web of Venom: Wraith. Courtesy of Marvel Comics we have a first look at the cover as well as some thoughts from Donny Cates himself.

“Wraith is one of my favorite characters at Marvel. A sinister and silent gunslinger in space with a secret past! What’s not to love! When last we saw him in Guardians of the Galaxy, he had gained knowledge from Eros, brother of Thanos, as to the location of his imprisoned god. The one who cursed him. The one we know as Knull. Now, see where his journey takes him from the pages fo Guardians of The Galaxy, and heading into the deadliest chapter of Venom yet!”

Spinning out of the pages of Venom and Guardians of the Galaxy
Since his appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy, one thing Wraith has made perfectly clear is that he’s hunting Knull, the God of Symbiotes.

Now, in the wastelands on the outskirts of the cosmos, he’ll have his chance to face him…

According to Wikipedia Wraith aka has the ability to utilize a polymorphic weapon, has an unnaturally high tolerance for pain, skilled at armed/unarmed combat and can use Exolon parasites to increase his strength, speed, and so much more. Yep, sounds like one badass cosmic gunslinger to me.

Web of Venom: The Good Son has already been announced out on January 22, 2020 and it appears that web is only getting more interesting. Last year saw the Cult of Carnage, the excellent Venom Unleashed one-shot, and the Carnage Born series we gave a 10/10 written by Cates himself further cementing the line of stories as an above-par series of stories.
