WrestleMania 37 is going Hollywood

Los Angeles will host its first WrestleMania since 2005 next year.

WWE announced today that WrestleMania 37 will take place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California on March 28, 2021.

“There is nothing quite like WrestleMania Week,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said. “It is a one-of-a-kind event that provides an economic boost to the region — and fans from around the world will find a city that is ready to host them and welcomes the spectacle.”

SoFi Stadium is a brand new entertainment complex, and construction is scheduled to be completed in July 2020. The stadium is set to be the new home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams.

Los Angeles has not hosted a WrestleMania since before the event moved exclusively to massive football stadiums. WrestleMania 21 back in 2005 was held at the Staples Center, where Batista defeated Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

WrestleMania 37 will take place March 28, 2021.
