Castlevania Season 3 returns to Netflix in March

Evil never stays buried.

Didn’t get a Valentine’s Day gift? Don’t worry we have something better for you, well, Netflix does — a bloody Valentine! The premiere date of the third season of Netflix’s Castelvania adaptation was announced today alongside a brand new teaser trailer.

Watch it below.

Developed by Adi Shankar and written by Warren Ellis, Castlevania has been adapted from the video game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and is easily one of the best video game adaptations you can find.

The series follows outcast monster hunter, Trevor, the last surviving member of the Belmont clan, who must save the citizens of Eastern Europe from genocide at the hands of an enraged Dracula that has sworn to wipe humanity from the face of the Earth after they burned his wife at the stake. Aiding Trevor in his quest is the magician Sypha Belnades and Dracula’s dhampir son Alucard.

There’s no word yet on the episode count or plot (beyond what we can discern from the trailer) for Season 3 yet, but it’s fairly safe to assume that we’ll get at least eight episodes, as we did with season 2.

Castlevania season 3 arrives on Netflix March 5, 2020.
