‘Stranger Things 4’ Teaser: A major character returns

Happy Valentine’s Day, Love Netflix.

Warning! Stranger Things Season 4 Spoilers below.

Even if you don’t have a Valentine this February 14, the new Stranger Things teaser that just debuted on Twitter will be more than enough to make your heart soar.

Adorned with the caption “From Russ with love…”, the trailer opens with a snowy, sweeping shot of what we can safely assume is some type of Soviet work camp. As the camera brings us into the camp’s inner workings, it zeros in on one rail line worker in particular. When he takes off his hat and reveals his face…well, I’ll leave that reveal for you to watch first.

I know most of already assumed that Hopper was “the American” referred to at the end of Season 3–and that he would be back for Season 4–but it’s great to finally see it confirmed. It’s also all types of exciting to think about how our favorite grumpy detective is going to escape Soviet captivity.

Stranger Things 4 does not have an official Netflix release date yet, but this teaser means that we will likely be getting one very soon.

Happy Valentine's Day, Love Netflix.
