Lance Archer has signed with All Elite Wrestling

AEW continues to beef up their roster with a major signing.

Lance Archer has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling, the company has announced. AEW sent out a press release today confirming the news.

Archer, real name Lance Hoyt, has been wrestling since 2000, and since 2017 has been a consistent presence in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Before that, Archer had stints in TNA, Pro Wrestling Noah, and WWE, where he competed as Vance Archer on the now-defunct ECW brand. He recently faced off against Jon Moxley in a losing effort for the IWGP United States Championship at Wrestle Kingdom. In the past few weeks, his jump to AEW was considered all but finalized.

“Lance Archer is explosive, dynamic and unpredictable, making him perfect for AEW,” AEW CEO Tony Khan said of the signing. “He’s made his mark in every corner of the world. He’s brutal, colorful and will be a factor the minute he steps into the ring.”
