WrestleMania 36 moved to the WWE Performance Center with no fans

An unprecedented but necessary move.

WWE confirmed Monday evening that due to ongoing public health concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, WrestleMania 36 will no longer take place in Tampa Bay, Florida on Sunday, April 5. Instead the event will be relocated to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

The event will stream live on the WWE Network and be available for purchase on pay-per-view. WrestleMania is now a closed door event, with only essential personnel allowed on site.

Read WWE’s official statement below:

In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.

We will continue to update this story as more information is made available.
