Matt Hardy debuts on AEW Dynamite

Brother Matthew, we knew you’d come…

Matt Hardy made his AEW debut on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, after the main event.

The main event match saw the Inner Circle take on The Elite, a match that the Inner Circle won, giving them the advantage in the upcoming “Blood and Guts” match. Following the attack on Nick Jackson on a recent episode, the Inner Circle thought they’d have a man advantage at Blood and Guts.

However, Matt Jackson informed Inner Circle leader Chris Jericho that they will not be shorthanded as Vanguard-1 descended from the ceiling, saying that he called in a favor from a friend. He then pointed to the rafters, where Matt Hardy was presiding.

Matt Hardy recently left WWE, opting not to renew his contract with the company, citing a desire for more creative control. Matt brought the “Broken” character to WWE in the form of “Woken” Matt Hardy, but many were disappointed at how little the character was used.

Unfortunately, due to coronavirus, the date and place of the next episode is up in the air, so we don’t know when we’ll see Matt Hardy on the air next. But whenever it is, it’s sure to be absolutely…
