As the coronavirus continues to spread, more events are being cancelled. The latest festival to be have to change plans is the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Festival organizers have held fast the renowned film fest would not be cancelled or postponed. The event was scheduled to to run from May 12th through May 23rd.
Currently, several options are being considered, including moving Cannes to June-July of this year.

“As soon as the development of the French and international health situation will allow us to assess the real possibility, we will make our decision known, in accordance with our ongoing consultation with the French Government and Cannes City Hall as well as with the Festival’s Board Members, Film industry professionals and all the partners of the event,” the statement read in part.
