Today, Disney released the final trailer for the last four episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
There’s a ton of good stuff, including new footage of the much anticipated Siege of Mandalore and Ahsoka’s duel with Maul.
We also get a tantalizing glimpse of a battle that appears to be taking place on the planet Mygeeto (0:29). Even if that’s not the planet, however, the fight definitely involves Separatist forces, meaning there will be at least one other major engagement to close out the series besides the one taking place on Mandalore.
Combine that with the mirrored Episode III scenes from a previous trailer along with the rumored final episode titles, and it appears very likely that we’re going to see some overlap between the Clone Wars, Revenge of the Sith, and hopefully Order 66.
I’m still holding out hope for an on-planet depiction of the Battle of Coruscant, but getting to see the Siege of Mandalore is enough by itself to make me all types of happy.
And how about that moment when Rex greets Ahsoka? No matter how many times I watch it, that scene still gets me right in the feels.
The final arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars begins this Friday, April 17 on Disney+.
