Fantoons announces the official ‘Ninja Sex Party’ graphic novel out May 5th

Ninja Sex Party, Origins: The Graphic Novel offers the authorized real-life tale of the two-man band.

Apr. 23, 2020, (COTTAGE GROVE, OR) — With over 1.31M YouTube subscribers and 270 million views, the #1 Billboard comedy band, Ninja Sex Party, has one goal: make you laugh until your heart explodes with their rockin’ melodies.  But we’ll tell you something you don’t know… what happened before Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht formed the legendary explosive band.

On May 5th, Fantoons brings this fully authorized real-life tale of the two-man band to a gorgeous graphic novel. Ninja Sex Party: The Graphic Novel, Part I: Origins is the all-new 120 page, full-color hardcover, and double story graphic novel that’ll make music fans, gamers, even newbies flip!

Based on personal in-depth interviews with band members Dan Avidan (Danny Sexbang) and Brian Wecht (Ninja Brian), this graphic novel is the first to tell the NSP Origin Story. Using a unique format, the book tells two biographical stories that meet in the middle. Read the book one way, and you’ll learn all about Dan’s life from childhood, through his early bands, up to the formation of NSP. Flip the book over and it’s about Brian’s life, growing up in New Jersey, pursuing his career in physics, meeting his wife, and ultimately, how he and Dan found each other.

These stories have never been told before — this is a must-have item for any NSP fan!

“How did Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht come to meet each other?” said Creative Director of Fantoons, David Calcano. “And more importantly, who are they as people? We feel privileged to be able to tell this inspirational story as a graphic novel and go into personal details about their individual life-journeys to led them to form Ninja Sex Party.”

“I am beyond psyched about the very first NSP graphic novel, which tells the true story of our lives before we started the band,” said Dan Avidan. “I am a huge comic book nerd, (in addition to every other type of nerd), so this is a dream come true!”

“I’m really impressed with what Fantoons has achieved with this graphic novel,” said Brian Wecht. “Every time I read it, I just keep thinking, ‘Oh my god, I’m in a comic book!’ Their care and attention to detail really shows, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned our lives into such a beautiful, well-done piece. I love this book!”

Since Ninja Sex Party’s inception in 2009, the band has performed sold-out shows across the US, UK, Europe, and Australia, released almost 50 music videos, garnered over 1.31 million YouTube subscribers, and was Billboard’s top selling Comedy Artist of 2018. In October 2019, the band celebrated its 10th anniversary with a nearly sold-out show at the Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, IL with close to 10 thousand people in attendance.
