Tom Savini joins ‘The Last Drive-In’

Tom Savini joins Joe Bob and Darcy!

There is no shortage of horror icons. From directors like George A. Romero to villains like Michael Myers, the genre is filled with beloved names. Some of the most famous are the people who worked behind the camera on special effects.

Last week’s season two premiere of The Last Drive-In got off to a great start. Along with some great horror movies (Chopping Mall was silly fun and Blood Sucking Freaks is not any easier to watch), there were some great guests. Kelli Maroney and Chris Jericho both joined Joe Bob and Darcy.

This week, one of the biggest names in horror will come visit the show. The “Sultan of Splatter” Tom Savini will be on The Last Drive-In. Savini is of the most groundbreaking and influential special effects wizards of all time. His resume includes Dawn of the Dead and Friday the 13th. He also worked on and was the victim of the greatest head explosion scene of all time.

The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs airs every Friday night on Shudder.
