Week 8 of Top Chef was all about Restaurant Wars. They dove straight into the elimination challenge as Gregory and his Haitian inspired wood fire concept, Kaan, went up against Kevin’s family style southern restaurant, Country Captain. The other contestants took a back seat as they worked to carry out their respective team captain’s vision.
In the end, Kaan made a deeper impression with the judges. As a result, Gregory took the top spot this week in the Power Rankings while one of this season’s heavyweights, took an early exit. Luckily, Kevin still has a chance to return later in the competition as he prevailed in Last Chance Kitchen.
