Get excited for the ‘Stargirl’ Monday, May 18 premiere with early look at the supersuits

Get an early look at costumes from the upcoming Stargirl television show.

DC Universe has released an exclusive first look at the supersuits featured in their upcoming Stargirl TV show which have a certain DC Comics CW feel if I do say so myself. The costumes are for villains Icicle and Brainwave and the heroes Doctor Mid-Nite, Wildcat, Hourman, S.T.R.I.P.E., and Stargirl too. Peep those out below:

Stargirl premieres on DC Universe on May 18th with a follow-up CW broadcast on Tuesday, May 19. One bonus for watching on DC Universe comes with extras like extended versions of select episodes, behind-the-scenes footage of cast and crew. Speaking of extras, DC Universe has also revealed a few of the sets from the show, which features an Iron Giant looking robot nearly as tall as the ceiling.

The official Stargirl synopsis reveals its high school underpinnings:

DC’S STARGIRL follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) as she moves to Blue Valley, Nebraska after her mother remarries Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) and inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. The live-action superhero drama reimagines the 1999 Stargirl comics and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series.

This marks the latest show in the DC Universe line from comic book writer Geoff Johns who also had his hand in Titans, Batwoman, and The Flash.

There’s a lot to get excited about when it comes to DC Universe right now with Stargirl about to debut and Doom Patrol season 2 being announced for a June 25th release.
