‘The Umbrella Academy’ season 2 coming this summer on Netflix

Netflix sets date of The Umbrella Academy season 2 with a cast dance video.

The Umbrella Academy premiered on Netflix last year and it would become the streaming service’s third most popular series for 2019. With such a positive response, fans were curious when they could find out what happens next with the Hargreeves siblings.

Today, Netflix announced that season 2 of The Umbrella Academy is set to premiere this summer on July 31. The announcement was made via a video showcasing the cast dancing and rocking out. In these times of social distancing and sheltering down, it would only be appropriate that the accompanying song is Tiffany’s “I Think We’re Alone Now”.

The Umbrella Academy is based off of the Dark Horse comic series of the same name. It is created and written by Gerard Way with illustrations by Gabriel Bá. Look back upon our review of season 1 and watch the announcement video below.
