AEW Rankings: June 10, 2020: Le Champion returns, Brian Cage is still missing

The top of each division is holding strong.

AEW has released their rankings for the week of June 10 and this week didn’t see a lot of changes for any of AEW’s three divisions. But there’s been a few notable changes that are worth checking out below.

AEW Rankings

AEW

AEW Men’s Division

AEW Champion: Jon Moxley (13-0 singles, 18-2-1 overall)
TNT Champion: Cody Rhodes (11-1, 18-6-1 overall)

1. MJF (6-0 singles, 11-1 overall)
2. Lance Archer (5-1 singles, 5-1 overall)
3. Brodie Lee (5-1 singles, 5-1 overall)
4. Kenny Omega (4-0 singles, 23-8 overall)
5. Chris Jericho (2-1 singles,14-4-1 overall)

The Le Champion has returned to the rankings! Chris Jericho has a lot of serious opponents to worth through if he hopes to recapture his coveted AEW Championship. And what about Brian Cage? Where’s The Machine in all of this? While he may have a guaranteed title shot, he also still has a win-loss record. Yet the question remains whether or not the price he claimed at Double or Nothing will keep him off the rankings until he challenges Mox for the AEW Championship.

AEW Rankings

AEW

AEW Women’s Division

Champion: Hikaru Shida (11-1 singles, 16-6 overall)

1. Nyla Rose (6-2 singles, 12-5 overall)
2. Kris Statlander (4-4 singles, 8-8 overall)
3. Britt Baker (4-4 singles, 13-8 overall)
4. Yuka Sakazaki (1-1 singles, 1-4 overall)
5. Penelope Ford (3-3 singles, 4-5 overall)

Not a single change in the women’s rankings this week. We haven’t see Yuka Sakazaki on TV in months, so you have to wonder why AEW isn’t giving more women on their roster the opportunity to work their way up the rankings. Where’s Allie and Shanna? And why isn’t Penelope Ford having more matches?

AEW Rankings

AEW

AEW Tag Team Division

Champions: Kenny Omega & “Hangman” Adam Page (7-0)

1. The Best Friends (9-3)
2. Natural Nightmares (5-0)
3. Private Party (4-2)
4. SCU (3-4)
5. The Young Bucks (2-2)

SCU replaced Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian at #4 this week which is certainly head scratcher considering that they lost to the Superbad Death Squad two weeks ago. Perhaps even stranger is the fact that the Young Bucks remain on the rankings despite the fact that they seemingly don’t have tag team matches anymore. More than one strange change in the rankings this week.
