30 Rock is coming back — at least for one more special episode, according to a Variety report. Like its fellow NBC alum Parks and Recreation, the show was filmed remotely to ensure the safety of everyone involved during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, and Jack McBrayer will all reprise their roles from the beloved sitcom that wrapped production back in 2013. NBC is also describing the special as a “first-of-its-kind all-audience upfront event”, which suggests that the show will double as some kind of an advertisement for other NBCUniversal shows.
The hour-long special will air commercial-free on NBC on Thursday, July 16 at 8pm ET. It will then be available on NBC’s new streaming platform, Peacock, the following day. Peacock launches nationwide on July 15.
