Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head is being revived for the second time, this time on Comedy Central. The network has ordered two seasons of the show, though no premiere date has been given yet.
“In this iteration, Beavis and Butt-head are entering a whole new Gen Z world,” Comedy Central said in their announcement. Says series creator and voice of the iconic characters Mike Judge, “It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again.”
Beavis and Butt-Head originally ran on MTV from 1993 to 1997. It was revived for one season back in 2011, meaning the two endearingly idiotic teenagers have now interacted with three generations of peers. The duo also starred in their own feature-length film, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, in 1996.
Mike Judge is also the creator of King of the Hill, Office Space, and Idiocracy.
