The rumors swirling around Microsoft’s next big reveal for their next-gen console have turned out to be true. Monday morning the company announced that it will hold its Xbox Series X first-party games showcase on July 23 at 9 AM PT.
Microsoft had previously announced that July’s Xbox Games Showcase will focus on first-party games from Xbox Game Studios, but that’s not to say that some third-party titles won’t be making appearances as well. The biggest title fans can expect to see in attendance is undoubtedly 343 Industries’ — Halo Infinite — the next chapter in the Halo franchise which has been highly anticipated since it was first announced two years ago in 2018 at E3.
This is Microsoft’s first presentation of Xbox Series X games since May’s Xbox 20/20 event that as held during an episode of Inside Xbox where the company showed off a whopping 13 new games that are coming to the next-gen console. Games such as Scorn, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Second Extinction made a big splash, but many fans were disappointed in the presentation overall, as many felt that Microsoft misled them on what to expect.
You can catch Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter on Thursday, July 23 at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
