Rob Liefeld’s new ‘Snake Eyes’ series to launch with 36 variant covers

The variants are expected to give a boost to comic retailers still hurting from the coronavirus shutdown.

Today, IDW announced that their upcoming Snake Eyes: Deadgame limited series written and drawn by Rob Liefeld will launch July 15 with 36 (!) variant covers.

Aside from making us all feel like we’re back in the ‘90s (which honestly wouldn’t be so bad right now), the plethora of exclusive variants are part of an effort to help comic shops whose sales continue to struggle due to the coronavirus lockdown.

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 8, 2020) – The highly anticipated SNAKE EYES: DEADGAME comic book series written and illustrated by superstar creator Rob Liefeld (X-Force, Deadpool) is almost here! Hitting stores next Wednesday, the first issue of IDW Publishing’s G.I. JOE comic book spin-off is being supported by a combined 36 Retailer and Convention Exclusive covers, including 9 covers illustrated by Liefeld himself!
