‘Could You Survive the Movies?’ renewed for new season

Season two of the YouTube Original arrives in early 2021.

Fresh off of a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Educational or Information Series win last weekend, Could You Survive the Movies? announced they were renewed for a new season. The YouTube Original is hosted by its creator, Jake Roper, and is produced by AMPLE Entertainment.

The series dives into the magic and science of popular films including Back to the Future, Jumanji and Die Hard in the first season. It’s similar to MythBusters with a more Hollywood focus. Their investigations are equal parts unscripted scientific exploration and narrative storytelling. At the end of each episode, they determine if you could really survive the movies.

The second season of Could You Survive the Movies? will launch in early 2021 with six new episodes. This time around Roper and company explore the magic in Harry Potter, the power of water in Titanic, the acoustics in A Quiet Place, and more. What fan favorite movie would you want them to cover?
